A Focus on Education
OCTOBER 2017 LIFESTYLE
Country Group Development supports private residences owners’ families with private higher education seminar.
For the inaugural series of Four Seasons Private Residences Bangkok’s educational workshop,
Country Group Development, in collaboration with Crimson Education, invited Private Residences owners to join an educational seminar on 7 October 2017 at the Sales Gallery for Four Seasons Private Residences Bangkok at Chao Phraya River.
With several Private Residences owners have children attending the prestigious Shrewsbury International School located adjacent to the luxury estate, the seminar and workshop gave the opportunity for parents to learn more about top college admissions process.
While the competition for admission into top U.S. universities hasn’t changed for many years, the competition certainly has, and it is fueling a burgeoning industry. Today’s enrollment process has become increasingly complex, along with the subjective decision-making of admission counselors. Admissions officers often stress the importance of a “holistic profile”. With this in mind, the Crimson Education team helped parents go beyond the basics, learning strategies and best practices and the evolving environment of enrollment management framework to help prepare their children for college applications and stand out from the crowd.
The workshop also featured a keynote speaker – Princeton graduate and professional academic advisor, Victor Li. As a veteran in the field of admissions consulting with over eight years of experience in the East Asia and Oceana region, Victor Li boasts an impressive track record with 73 of his students granted admissions to Ivy League institutions, and holds the highest record for “HYPS” (Harvard Yale Princeton Stanford) admissions in the Southern Hemisphere.
Over the course of the workshop, parents heard from different Crimson Education team members about the current application landscape and what it means for Thai applicants. Workshops participants also received insights into global application strategies and benefitted from post-event networking.
