Chinese Culinary Celebration
FEBRUARY 2017 LIFESTYLE
Annual Gourmet Dinner 2017 dazzles with Chef Wang Yong’s exceptional Chinese inspired creations.
With tantalizing flavours, unique ingredients and distinctive preparation techniques, Chinese gastronomy offers a myriad of dishes that excite the senses and tickle the taste buds. From 23 – 25 February, honoured guests had the opportunity to explore the very best in Chinese cuisine in 5-star style during the second annual Gourmet Dinner at the Sales Gallery for Four Seasons Private Residences Bangkok at Chao Phraya River.
Last year, Chef Loris Pistillo and Chef Simon Wu from Four Seasons Hotel Seoul orchestrated four private dinners for this signature event to much acclaim, setting the bar high for future dinners. This year, thanks to the cooking talents of Executive Chinese Chef Wang Yong of Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake, the Gourmet Dinner 2017 did not disappoint, and even exceeded expectations as guests were treated to a refreshing, once-in-a-lifetime gourmet experience billed as “A Night in West Lake”.
With a career spanning over two decades marked by passion, dedication and the continuous pursuit of excellence, Chef Wang’s ever-changing and creative accomplishments have earned him multiple awards and celebrity chef status.
For this special event, he flew in to concoct a private culinary journey for the invited guests, bringing a host of dynamic flavours from their origins in West Lake to the banks of the majestic Chao Phraya River. Each of the Gourmet Dinners opened with a champagne reception followed by the Chef’s degustation menu of fine Shanghainese and classical Chinese cuisine.
