Four days of sumptuous dining in a world-class setting heralded the launch of the latest annual event series created by Country Group Development and Four Seasons to lay down a marker of more to come and raise the bar on culinary quality while introducing some of the group’s most awarded and renowned chefs in signature Four Seasons style.

Gourmet Dinner 2016 was the understated title of an exceptional statement in culinary inspiration and global resources, conceived to showcase celebrated chefs from Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts around the world and as a foretaste of the calibre of events and culinary happenings that will become regular occurrences once Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Bangkok officially open. It will become an annual event held each February, and the inaugural event set the bar exceptionally high, with two culinary talents from the stunning new Four Seasons Hotel Seoul in South Korea, Chef Loris Pistillo who helms the highly successful rustic Italian experience Boccalino and celebrated Cantonese Chef Simon Wu of Yu Yuan restaurant.

Country Group Development PCL Director and CEO, Ben Taechaubol said the aim of launching the Gourmet Dinner series with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts was to create an annual experience celebrating fine dining, the Four Seasons lifestyle and pre-empt the opening of the Waterfront Promenade where world-class bars and restaurants would line the banks of the Chao Phraya River. "Four Seasons is a perfect brand match for the development as it is here we will establish a new benchmark for meaningful luxury that our cultured buyers will recognise, relate and appreciate," he said.

“We share a clear vision together, a synthesis of ideas and common goals, and the Gourmet Dinner series is designed to provide a glimpse into the future where world-class bars and restaurant would line the Waterfront Promenade of the Chao Phraya Estate turning it into a unbeatable destination of gastronomy. True to our ethos of world-class waterfront living at its finest".

Milan native Chef Loris Pistillo hosted gourmet dinners on February 25 and February 26, with a finely balanced, five-course Italian culinary experience offering a “glimpse of Milano” focusing on traditional Italian recipes that have been passed down through generations from ancient Florence in its Renaissance pomp to stylish modern Milan, food and fashion capital of Europe.

Three decades of experience and an elaborate seven-course uniquely designed degustation menu of authentic Cantonese cuisine was on the bill of fare created by Chef Wu on February 27 and February 28.

Diners thrilled to his meticulous attention to detail, savoured the freshness and delicate textures of classic Cantonese ingredients and appreciated dishes meticulously crafted according to time-honoured traditions with light seasonings that enhance, not mask, the fresh flavours.

Mike Crawford, President of Asia Pacific, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, jetted into Bangkok for the dinner series and pronounced himself happy with the event. “We are thrilled to partner with Country Group Development to launch Gourmet Dinner 2016 as it provides a unique opportunity for the community to experience the new standards of luxury that will be the hallmark of the future development on the banks of the Chao Phraya River".

“For the world’s most discerning owners, Four Seasons Private Residences delivers an experience that transcends the hospitality category to become a lifestyle aspiration. The people of Four Seasons create the most thoughtful experiences of luxury in the world, and living with Four Seasons provides a sanctuary without worry for discerning global citizens".
